Peter Bosch works for the European Commission as advisor to the Deputy Director-General of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He is working on various subjects shaping the future agenda of the EU, helps to promote the interface between academia and policy (making) with a special interest in the future of cities, the future of work, the Sustainable Development Goals, Citizens engagement and migration, in particular labour migration and integration policies. He was member of the Cabinet of Commissioner Malmström, responsible for Home Affairs in the Barroso-II Commission. In this capacity he was dealing with European migration policy, Europe as an area of free movement and new technologies. He contributed to various Commission Communications and research papers. Mr. Bosch is advisor to the various international organisations and a member of different commissions working in the area of international migration policy and research.
As a member of the Expert Stakeholder Group in PILLARS he aims to contribute to the understanding of the future labour market needs of the EU and explore ways to address these in a way that ensures the EU remains its position in the global economy. In doing so, he underlines the need for redesigning our educational systems and tapping the potential of well-managed migration policies.
