Edward Lorenz is Vice President of the Globelics innovation network and interim President of Eurolics, the European Branch of Globelics, a worldwide, open and diverse community of scholars working on innovation and competence building in the context of economic development. Edward regularly provides expert advice to the OECD, EUROFOUND and the European Commission and has contributed to numerous expert committees including the Measurement Working Group of the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry at the OECD, the OECD Working Party on SMEs and Entrepreneurship, and the expert group invited to discuss the “Future of Europe’s innovation policies” by the DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission. Edward was an invited speaker at the Regional meeting on “Innovations for infrastructure development and sustainable industrialization” organized by the United Nations and he participated in an expert panel on the “Implications of Technology and Innovation for the Future of Manufacturing” organized by UNIDO. Edward is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Côte d’Azur (France) and Part-time Professor at the Aalborg University Business School. He also holds the position of Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa.
As a member of the Expert Stakeholder Group in PILLARS Edward aims to support the project team in the development of inclusive and evidence-based labour market policies.
