Carmel Cachia has always been involved in technology and related skills in Industry and currently chairs the eSkills Malta Foundation, a national coalition set up with multi-sectoral partnerships coming from industry, education and government to achieve synergy in the sustainable development of the right digital skills. Carmel is a chartered fellow of the BCS with a pioneering career in the executive leadership of tech companies and projects of national interest addressing SMEs, educational, ICT and society. He is a Council member at the University of Malta and a board member of various University and College Institutes.
The Pillars Project is of great interest to Carmel, and in particular to eSkills Malta Foundation, due to the multicultural and multinational involvement for the sharing of knowledge and best practices in the Future Technologies, Skills and Inclusive Labour Markets.
